The Rustic Road Riders were created by Joshua Macara. In 2008 his son (Aiden) was born with a severe and life-threatening prognosis. Through dedication and hard work, the doctors, nurses, and staff at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Milwaukee fought as hard as little Aiden to stay alive.
Aiden will be 13 years old in February and without the sheer determination of all those at Children’s, we wouldn’t be celebrating this milestone.
Joshua knew he couldn’t financially give support to the team at Children’s, but with his love of Harley-Davidson and a few thousand of his friends, he knew he could make a difference. That’s when he created the Rustic Road Run and kicked off it’s inaugural year in 2015. To date, the Rustic Road Run has donated more than $75,000 to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
As the Rustic Road Run has grown in years, more and more have joined to help Joshua in his quest to help others. With that, came the Rustic Road Riders Inc., a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization. With more people, more stories need to be told and more people needed to be helped. We will continue to serve our community through our love of the open road.
